Northwest 42, Missouri Southern 58

Northwest put together a solid defensive effort, but a slow start offensively led to a 58-42 loss to Missouri Southern.

The Bearcats (11-14, 6-10 MIAA) were down just six at halftime, but the Lions stretched their lead to 13 points at the end of the third quarter.

Erika Schlosser led Northwest with 10 points and three rebounds. Mallory McConkey added six points and eight rebounds.

The Bearcats are back home Saturday for a matchup with Pittsburg State. Game time is set for 1:30pm. Pregame on KXCV 90.5 and KRNW 88.9 begins at 1pm.
